Promoting Gender Equality and Women’s Participation in Constitutional and Democratic Processes in South Sudan – is the title of SSWEN’s newest project funded by The United Nations Democracy Fund. This project aims to establish and bring together women civil society organizations and strengthen the existing Gender Coordination Forum in South Sudan to develop a framework that will serve as a platform for coordinating civil society participation in the Constitutional Review Process. This platform will also serve to bring together diverse organizations working in the fields of human rights and gender to build upon collective experience, through capacity building, and knowledge sharing from Rwanda which went through similar experience of the constitution making process. These efforts will collectively enhance the promotion of Gender Equality and Women participation in Constitutional and democratic processes in South Sudan. January 2014
